Climate can influence our skin in unexpected ways, causing everything from blistering to dry skin. Extreme cold or hot weather conditions can irritate some existing skin conditions or even cause new ones.

In cold climates with icy winds the skin can become rough, red, stiff and cracked. This becomes the perfect place for bacteria and germs, which can penetrate the damaged skin creating pimples and impurities in the skin itself.

To take care of dry and delicate skin, avoid taking long showers and use routinely a good moisturiser that hydrates not only on the surface but the deep tissue also.

In dry climates instead the skin is more easily irritated and an increase of dead cells is observed. Dryness takes away the moisture that our body naturally produces. Beware that certain skin conditions, such as eczema can worsen in drier climates

It is best to avoid long, and it is advised to use delicate soaps that can soothe the skin. Drink loads of water, at least 2 litres of water a day and use routinely a good moisturiser to keep skin dryness and eczema under control.

Instead the temperature and humidity increase can make the skin more prone to the appearance of impurities, especially with oily skin.

Take into consideration to use products, usually at night, that contain salicylic or glycolic acid or  acid, they can help making the skin more resistant to sunlight.
